Directors Corner: June / 2007

Ben Nickleson Jr. / Director / Adirondack HOG Chapter #3220

The newsletter is in your mail box or “in box” this month early reminding everyone of our Poker Run June 3, 2007. Many people always work conscientiously and this year is not an exception! As you know, the date was changed this year to coincide with the beginning of Americade June 4, 2007. We hope the date is favorable for the event! I am asking if you can make time Sunday June 3, 2007 to help or show support for our charity this year, The Glens Falls Association for the Blind, everyone would be extremely grateful. Please contact Linda Nestuck who assists in coordinating the volunteers.

Summer in Lake George brings many events including Americade starting Monday June 4, 2007. Harley Davidson has asked this year if our club will help at the Harley Pin Stop. Every year two people (HOG Members or Motor Company) staff the area where the Rally Pin is given out to HOG Club Members. A list is being compiled with times 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Saturday and Sunday June 10, 9:00 am to noon. It is not an all day obligation, a two or four hour block of time is all that is needed. The Volunteers for Americade will be provided with a T-Shirt and of course free food. Please contact Marylou at mnickleson@yahoo.com or call 583-3432 and leave a message.

The Senior Road Captain, Don Gregorie, has planned and is planning rides for the club along with group rides with other HOG Chapters. How do I find out what rides are available? Assistant Director, Art Persons, will be posting these rides at McDermott’s, Adirondack HOG website www.mcdermottshd.com then click on link to Adirondack HOG Group and of course a newsletter OR post card when updates as needed. Additionally, the New York State HOG Rally is well planned out in the Catskills this year July 5 – 7, 2007 to further check details find www.nystatehogrally.com or 1-800-657-8394.

Please take time to carefully read all the newsletter because McDermott’s, the Assistant Director, Activities Chairperson, Ladies of Harley (LOH), Road Captain, Safety Officer, and everyone who is working to make the club a better club has important news.

The next scheduled meeting has been moved to September with more to follow. Again, Fathers Day is upon us June 17 so I am sure you could find something you need for the ride!
HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Ride Safe & Be Careful,

Ben Nickleson Jr., Director
