ADIRONDACK HARLEY OWNERS GROUP

Director's Corner

When I was starting to write my column for the newsletter, it had been raining for a couple of days. I thought good, this rain will wash the salt off the roads. The temperature will be up in the high 40's or low 50's and I'll be able to put a few miles on the bike. Wrong again!!! The weather forecast was for possibly the biggest snowfall of the season on the first day of spring.

Preparations for the club's annual charity run, "The Adirondack Roundup", are coming along well. Keep up the good work. It's time to start the pre-registration for this years event. We depend on the pre-reg money to have funds to pay for things needed for the run such as pins, insurance, etc. The pre-registration fee is $12 per person. Make checks payable to Adirondack H.O.G. and mail to:

Cata Tkacheff, Treas.

10 Buell Avenue

Ballston Spa, NY 12019

That's about it for now. Hope to see you at the April meeting. Till then--BE SAFE!!

Starting April 1st, we will begin Harley's latest promo. This is the scoop....... with any $195 purchase of Genuine MotorClothes, Motor Accessories, MotorParts, or Official Licensed Product, you will receive a free Collectors Edition Gas Card worth $10 and a 95th Anniversary Card Wallet. Only one per customer and only while supplies last. So here's another chance at a Harley promo.

The riding season is creeping up fast and it's time to start making those service appointments. Let's not wait till the book is full and the wait is long. Let's all be ready to ride!

We would like to wish a Happy Birthday to our own: Tom McDermott on April 8th.

Not much else for now. Until next month.........

The Adirondack Roundup

George Polunci has gotten a local radio station (WCKM 98.5) to advertise our event and hopefully to have tunes there at the ranch. Rosemarie Wilson has gotten free newspaper coverage from The Post-Star and The Gazette. We're off to a great start!

Sally & Dianne have plenty of volunteers but please don't forget door prizes and desserts. Handcrafted items are a great hit with everyone and we all have some little talent we can show off. Wooden products, hand painted items, knitted or crocheted, home-ade stuff are great. And lets not forget gift certificates, they're always welcome.

Many people have already volunteered to supply items that are needed for the cause. Here's a list of items still needed:

12) #10 cans of Chili

7) 10 lbs. of charcoal

1) can charcoal lighter

2) #10 cans of sweet relish

3) 4 lbs. ice tea and lemonade mix -- each

12) large bags of corn chips

10) boxes corn bread mix

If you can supply any item to help out, please call Sally Stevely (885-7730) or Dianne Collins

(793-8479).
