AMA MINUTES
MEETING OF APRIL 12, 2004

Chairman Kevin Becker called the meeting to order at 7:43 p.m.
17 people were in attendance, representing 9 clubs.

Secretary’s Report: was read and accepted.
Treasurer’s Report:
General Fund: $1030.08
Emergency Fund: $2184.07
Charity Fund: $469
The report was accepted.
Legislative Report: Larry and Prospector are taking a much needed vacation while the Legislature is out of session.

Old Business:
Banquet: Door prizes are sorely needed and will be accepted up to the start of the banquet! Denis Petrie reported a contact with Helmet House who is donating a Tourmaster helmet and/or jacket and other prizes. He also suggested having a few vendors at the banquet to liven things up and try to get more people to attend.
Kudos to “T” Frier for organizing the banquet! We’ve sold 83 tickets and will have 9 guests.

Charity: We still have not chosen a charity. So far we have the “Give a Child a Christmas”, the Shriners in Springfield, MA, an equine charity of Maggie’s (who will eventually give us more details), and the Schenectady Equine Therapy that Larry S. will provide more details for. We have tabled the issue until more information is provided about the equine therapy charities and to provide you more time to suggest other charities.

Spitze Memorial: Larry Moyer and Paul and Madeline Sicko are working on the details. Larry presented us with wording for the stone: “Dedicated to the Memory of John “Spitzie” Splittgerber. The only thing bigger than the Harleys he sold and serviced, was his heart and the efforts he made to help others. Presented in tribute by AMA District 3 Road Division.” The wording was accepted.
Denis Petrie suggested having an event with the Albany Institute to raise money for the memorial. He will follow up and report back to the District.

The trifold cards are at the printer and will hopefully be at the banquet, but otherwise at the next meeting.
