DISTRICT 3 ROAD DIVISION MEETING OF JUNE 19, 2006

Chairman Mark Catlin called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

10 people were in attendance, representing 6 clubs.

Many thanks to T Frier for taking notes due to the secretary’s absence.

Secretary’s Report: none given.

Treasurer’s Report:

General Fund:   $1551.96

AMA Grant:  $750.00

Charity:      $250.00

Emergency Fund:  $2953.00

Support Our Troops   $63.00

The report was accepted.

Legislative Report:

-The Yield Right of Way bill (#4914) passsed in the Assembly today, June 19th. Prospector worked very hard to get this passed!

-Assembly bill #4400, sponsored by Felix Ortese is asking for breathalizers in all vehicles made after 2009. This bill will most likely progress to all vehicles ever made and will cost $350 to retrofit a car. The breathalizers themselves are unreliable. Please contact your assembly person to kill the bill and your Senate person to not let the bill progress. Don’t rest on your laurels and assume this bill won’t get anywhere.

-Additional discussion was had in regards to long waits at lights.

The PAC received $16.

Old Business:

-Denis P reported that we had no District 3 AMA booth at Americade this year, but Hunter promises one for 2007.

New Business:

-none.

-Run for Life on July 16 to benefit the Bone Marrow Foundation. Contact Marty Hermann for more info.

-AMA District 3 Road Division meeting: Monday, Sept 18th, 7:30pm at the 76 Diner on Rt 9 in Latham.
