family of Joe Vanags, a member of the Roamers who recently

The Treasurer’s report was accepted.
LEGISLATIVE REPORT: Neither Prospector nor Larry Schwartz were
present. Prospector is working on the road blocks. There will be
no way to get to AM-JAM without going thru a few roadblocks. The
officers are looking for certificate of inspection; each license
plate has the appropriate DMV sticker. If you are legal you
won’t have too much trouble.
OLD BUSINESS: Denis’ ride to Oregon has been shortened due to
the reoccurrence of his cancer. He is leaving from Gilda’s Club
in Albany on June 14 around 4 p.m.- going to Buffalo. He will
leave from Buffalo on the 15th of June - going to TGIFridays in
Sandusky, Ohio. For more information get in touch with Denis
Petrie.
AMERICADE BOOTH: THE AMA BOOTH FOR DISTRICT 3 WILL BE LOCATED ON
BEACH ROAD IN THE PARKING LOT. We will be near Mad Maps, Yamaha,
and (Denis thinks) National AMA truck. This location is between
the Steam Boats and Million Dollar Beach. Sue Carbonelli-Moore
has the AMA Banner for us to use. The canopy, table, & chairs
have been purchased. Sue said Maggie has a trailer that we can
store stuff in while at Americade. Denis will set things up on
Sunday, and he will be there (or in Mad Maps) on and off during
the week. Dave Humbroff from National will also be there (he is
Hunting for Hunter). WE NEED FLYERS FROM EVERY CLUB!!!! The
hours that the booth is open is 10:00am.- 6:00p.m. (Or 11-7)
hope to find out soon. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO MAN THIS BOOTH! We
hope to have volunteers from EACH club. Gilda’s Club is doing a
raffle, we hope to have tee shirts available. If we sell them
anyone who buys one MUST have an up-to-date AMA card. We can
sign up people for AMA this year!!
Safety Award: Deb Catlin was suggested, as she has been the
first woman to be an MSF instructor. We will give this award to
Deb at the next Awards Banquet - Date to be picked. It was
suggested that when we have the banquet, to put it closer to
motorcycle riding season. And having it at the Zologa Post would
be good but we need a bigger room.
NEW BUSINESS: We have been invited by Rolling Thunder to
participate in the Scotia Annual Memorial Day Parade, which is
in 2 days. Meet with Denis @ 5:15p.m. @ 36 Parkwood Drive,
Colonie. (This is near Lkins).
CHARITY: How can we raise more money for our Charity? T Frier
offered to make another bandana quilt. Please bring clean
bandanas to each meeting until enough are donated. (p.s. - I
hope the district will purchase materials such as batting and
whatever else is needed) We need suggestions for a charity.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:42p.m.
NEXT MEETING IS JUNE 9!!!
