April 2000 Chapter Number
DIRECTOR'S
CORNER
Hi Gang,
Only a few weeks until our
poker run and everything seems
to be coming together. Our next
meeting will be April 16 and that will be the last one until the run. So we need to have
all the details finalized. Remember to get the donations in so we can have everything set
up before that week. Also, were getting a lot of new members at our meetings. Please
take the time to make them feel welcome. Just think how scary some of us must look to
them. Remember your first meeting?
I have brochures for every
local State Rally if anyone is interested in details. Just call or ask at the next
meeting.

ADIRONDACK POKER RUN
It was voted at
our last meeting to keep our annual fund raiser a poker run for the Double HH Hole in the
Woods Ranch. Everyone seems to have fun with playing poker and weve had great luck
in the past with it.
The menu has
changed a bit and it sounds delicious. Baked ziti, meatballs, sausage/peppers
& onions, pasta salad, rolls, lemonade, ice tea, soda, coffee and plenty of desserts. So far we have
lots of food volunteered and we need lots more. Remember, were talking motorcycle
riders and they sure can eat!! Fran Donbeck has a list of
whats
needed and whats spoken for. If you feel generous, please call her at
798-8088 or
Debbie Harrington at
793-7564 or Carol
Casey at 793-3684. Little things like cheese for the baked ziti is needed, butter for the
rolls, so if you can help out at all, please call. If your not a shopper and would like to
donate money instead, thats ok. Debbie is a great shopper and doesnt mind at
all. If most of the food is donated, its all the more money we will have to hand to
the kids at the ranch. And dont forget the infamous dessert table. If everyone were
to bring a plate of cookies or brownies or cake, can you imagine the sugar high!!??
Fran will accept
door prizes any time. Gift certificates, homemade items, a gift you received for x-mas and
dont like are greatly appreciated. Enclosed is a complete write-up to bring to any
business in your area that explains what were about.
The Next Monthly Meeting
The next meeting
is scheduled for April 16th at 9:30 AM breakfast at Jacks Place in
Corinth. Meeting is 10:30 sharp and we have a lot to discuss. Fran is still looking for a
few volunteers. The board meeting is on April 14th at 7:00 PM at
McDermotts shop. Bring your ideas!!!
