DIRECTOR'S CORNER School will start next week and that should make a lot of you parents happy.
But this also means the weather will start to cool down. You know what is around the
corner. For most of you the season was long and warm. I have heard of many rides that our
members have taken. From out west to just hitting our local fundraisers. The turn out has
been great! Every time we went out on a fundraiser, we won best represented. Having this
kind of turn out and seeing everybody having a good time makes all the effort we put into
our club worth it. George MCDERMOTTS

AMA NEWSPAC is having a fundraiser at Warming Hut in Saratoga State
Park off Rt. 9 on Sunday, September 16th. Clubs are planning a ride in the area
and end up at the park. Please try to attend. Fee is only $10 per person and includes
refreshments. If interested, please contact John Rucinski at 580-1013 or Paul Butler at
802-877-8313 for the time and particulars. Buffalo NY Police is watching out for jokers who are putting HIV needles on motorcycle handle bars. Its been reported quite a few times. Right now its in the Buffalo area but everyone needs to be on the lookout. Call your local police if you do find one or see something suspicious. DRIVING SAFETY COURSE Bill Whitbeck is organizing a safety course and anyone interested please call him at 882-1593 for details. Its a great way to reduce your insurance rates for the next couple years and the course itself is very interesting and knowledgeable. NEXT MEETINGI hope no ones wanted in Vermont because thats where our next breakfast meeting is. Paul Butler did some checking out and found a nice place thats biker friendly and even though were from NY, they want our business. The date is September 16th, breakfast at 9:30 AM, meeting at 10:30 AM at Sewards on Rt. 7 in North Rutland. Paul is planning a bike ride afterwards to Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream Plant for anyone whos interested in a nice ride and scrumptious ice cream. Hope to see you there. THANK YOU Sunday, August 26th, Nancy & George Braynack planned a club ride to Glorias Restaurant in Mineville and 18 bikes attended. For anyone whos wondering where Mineville is, its way up north in Gods country and what a beautiful ride it was. If youve never been to Glorias, her desserts are to die for and everything is homemade!! Plan on putting a few pounds on, but its definitely worth it. Thanks Nancy & George, well follow you to Glorias anytime!! KEEP IN YOUR PRAYERSOur best wishes go out to Ken and Catherine Fleming who had a mishap this past month on their Harley. The last we heard is that Ken isnt doing so well. Keep the Flemings in your prayers.
